Europeiska skoldatanätet söker referenslärare

Inom ramen för två pågående projekt, Scientix och Spice sökes lärare i matematik, naturvetenskap och teknik att delta i två olika lärarpaneler.

The purpose of this new project carried out by EUN on behalf of the European Commission (DG Research) since December 2009, is the setting-up and management of a user-friendly Internet based information platform (“The Community for Science Education in Europe”) aimed at the European Union and the countries associated to the Seventh Framework Programme, ensuring the regular dissemination and sharing of progress, know-how, and best practices in the field of science education and providing a feedback mechanism. The philosophy of the platform can be summarized in the following keywords: search, find and engage. Indeed, the World Wide Web is dominated by a Google- style approach: searching and finding information is extremely simple and somewhat effective. Scientix will collect teaching materials from hundreds of European projects and will make them available in all European languages for teachers upon request.

The primary objective of this project is to collect, analyze, validate and disseminate innovative pedagogical practice, especially those based on inquiry-based learning whilst enhancing pupil motivation for science studies (at primary/secondary level). SPICE will support this objective by singling out the good practice pedagogies and practices in Maths, Science and Technology, which nowadays are mostly ICT-based, and disseminating them across all Europe. The good practice criteria will allow new projects to have guidelines to ensure their innovation and quality.
